Easy, Sustainable, Gift Wrap Ideas

According to the CDC, if every American family wrapped just 3 presents in reused materials, it would save enough paper to cover 45,000 football fields.

Here are few fun ways to start saving all that paper this season and present beautiful gifts to your loved ones.

1 - Wrap it in fabric

  • furoshiki cloth
  • tea towels
  • vintage table cloths
  • a set of napkins ( perfect for several small gifts )
  • scarves
  • socks - yes socks, tuck another gift inside a cozy pair, hats and gloves work too.

2 - Present it in Pottery or Glass

  • Mason and/or Weck  jars
  • Flower Pots
  • Coffee mugs

3 - Reusable cloth bags

  • lunch bags
  • produce bags
  • bulk bags
  • market totes

Skip the ribbons and bows, top your packages with greenery, pine cones, seed pods or other natural objects. To tie it all together use vines, strips of fabric, cotton, jute, or hemp twine. Everything natural fibers. Then when you finish it can go outside to be used as nesting materials or to simply biodegrade.
